Be still....a Giveaway

With the crazy pace life often takes (at our own hands) it's easy to get stressed. To loose focus and become overwhelmed.

I often have to stop and remind myself to simplify, to find my center. I find my simple moments in nature...watering the veggie garden in the quiet of the morning. In watching my kids play and share together. In the 20 minutes I take to Journal each night with my Husband. Kissing my kids each night before bed.

These are the precious moments of my day that remind me to stop and be grateful for the simple blessings.

This necklace was a total happy accident. (thanks Tracie ;) I Loved it so much I made myself one that says "be still"

  2. My favorite "quiet" time of the day is when I get a chance to snuggle with my 10 month old daughter, Aubrey. The moments are rare when she will let me hold her without her being squirmy, but when she does, it is pure bliss. Nothing like it in the world.

  3. My choice of word for the necklace, well, I'm torn, either "breathe" or "risen". :o)

    Love the necklace! Super cute!

  4. My favorite quiet moment of the day comes just before the day is done. I've just finished tucking my lambs into bed, tidy up the house and then sit down to the computer for a recap of the day before shutting down the house for the night.

  5. I really love "be still", because it can mean a lot of things. However, I think I would personalize the necklace with "patience". My birthstone is pearl, but I think orange topaz would look stunning.

  9. I love putting my son down for a nap, it's just the two of us, he holds still, I get to hold him, we read stories and snuggle, I look forward to it everyday I get to do it and miss it on the few days I don't.

  10. If I win (and it's beautiful), I would pick the word hope with a pearl, and give it to a friend who is going through a hard time.

  16. My favorite time of day is first thing in the morning when I wake up and roll over to see my 5 month old son awake too and smiling at me. He nurses for a little while, watching me the whole time. Then we both fall back asleep for a little while longer until the day begins. It's the most amazing part of the day for me.

  18. I would have "breathe" stamped on the necklace. My husband and I often remind each other to stop and breathe in the wonderful moments in our lives. Especially since it's so easy to get bogged down by the mundane everyday stuff.

  26. I have two favorite quiet times of the day: first thing in the morning when I sit in our sunroom and read my devotional reading and communicate with God. The second would be in the evening when I snuggle in my robe on the couch with our cat Mac on my lap. I love listening to him purr and know that he is content.

  27. My favourite quiet time would most likely have to be curling up in bed with my dog beside me so I can read a good book. Especially now when all I see out my window are fluffy snowflakes falling from the sky. Absolutely peace and tranquility.

  28. My word of choice would either be "Fly" or "Freedom." I would choose these words because a lot of the time, since I am still in high school, I feel caged, the need to fly and travel. Whenever I do go away for a while, I see things I couldn't always find at home. It's the greatest feeling when your feet touch different soil and you take in that first breath of salty air by the coast.

Even though having a baby (and breast feeding) is not always easy this is a moment I will cherish in my heart forever.

    ReplyDelete
  36. I would have the word on the butterfly charm be "become". The butterfly was a worm. I'd love to gift it to my eldest daughter who is quickly "becoming" a little woman. But it can also represent a reminder of always praying to "become" the person God wants us to be. :-)

  37. I love my quiet time in the shower. It's so rare these days to get a nice, long, peaceful shower (I'm usually rushing in and out because of scheduling or a 8 month old getting into everything), but on the weekends I can take a looonng quiet shower. It's my little haven even just for a moment!
