Meet Dana of TuTu Monkey

Tell us a bit about you and your Family:

I am a "Stay at Home Mom" after working for many years and trying to have a baby...once she, Sarah, arrived I wanted to enjoy every minute I could with her so I left my career in the Pharmaceutical Industry. My husband is in the Navy so we have moved a few times and we are thrilled to be in Coronado with so much to do and the wonderful weather. Sarah is 2 1/2 and the joy of our life.....every day we feel thankful.

What do you create and what inspires you?:

I make tutu's and "Noggin Topper "/hair clips. I love seeing a little girl playing in a tutu. I like the tutu's to be really played with.....sturdy enough for a monkey to wear. I love the challenge of a theme party tutu.......

My favorite Christmas Memory:

Well, it was quite some time ago but my Dad almost died on the 21rd of Dec on year from eating a hazelnut in a Christmas cookie. He was deathly allergic and had to spend many days in the hospital but was released on the 24th to be home to watch us open gifts. He was still not feeling great but he faked it for my sister and I. He has since passed away but I remember how relieved I was that Christmas. I think I was about 13 years old.
