New New New!

Our Nathaniel has been pretty sick for a week now. Just when we think he is getting better he starts throwing up again. Poor little guy!

If you are waiting on a package from me this is why it hasn't arrived yet, but rest assured my hubby promised I could work today when he gets home, and he will take the kiddies for me so your goodies will be in tomorrow's mail :o)

I was able to snap a couple of pictures today, with Nathaniel in my arms so I hope they aren't too shaky. I was just too excited and had to share!
I made these pieces some time ago...they are all hand shaped and formed from PMC (precious metal clay) A silver clay that when fired leaves a solid piece of fine silver.

These are a work in progress the final pieces will be in my shop when my little honey is well again.

These two are before the patina was added

This is after the patina was added...isn't that blue gorgeous! All four pieces went into the same bowl of sulfur but each came out a bit different! The heart with the crown stamped on it is set with a real diamond! Perfect for a little princess don't you think ;o)
This is after polishing to remove some of the excess patina This one is going on a key chain for me :o)
This little guy was a hard lesson learned. I fired it before the center was completely dry so it cracked. It's still solid and beautiful so I am going to finish the original design plan and keep it. (oh poor me ;o) It is set with a diamond too! When time and kiddies allow I will make a new one and let it dry through this time!

Happy Fall! It's time for another GIVE AWAY!!

I Love Autumn! I do dearly miss living where the foliage changes to vibrant hues of sunshine, golden brown and scarlet! The fiery rivers of Aspens peeking through the evergreens. The crisp cool air as the weather changes. I know one of the perks of living in Southern California is the mild winters but it does come at the cost of a gorgeous flower laden spring, and crisp Autumn color.
So to the good stuff....It's been far too long since I have done a give away but now that I am caught up on orders, and semi caught up on house work (can one ever be caught up there?) it is time!

With out further delay...

I am offering to one lucky reader, a totally custom fine silver bangle! The picture is an example of the most recent one I made that is in my SHOP now.

The winner can chose a charm or hand stamped disc, and gemstones to adorn it.

Enter to win for your self or for a Christmas gift for someone special!

HOW TO WIN....
Simply leave me a comment and then post a link back here so others can have a chance to win too! The give away will close Sunday night and i will post the winner on Monday September 29. Please leave me a link back to your blog so I can stop by and say hi and also a way to contact you if you win.

BEST OF LUCK!!!

Another new design!

I have been having such a good time making bangle bracelets with my new more powerful torch.

Here is one I finished tonight! Lucky Charm. I just got it up in my shop :o).

A crusin' good time!

Thomas is soon to turn 6! Where ever do the years go?
Thomas is quietly inquisitive. He likes to play it cool, like a sophisticated little man.

He tried to pull his little, Oh that's nice suave expression when we revealed that we were heading down to route 66 for the vintage car show today, but his facade faded when he saw the first supped up car! His eyes lit up and there was no hiding the excitement with an ear to ear smile.

He checked out the engine on each car oohed and awed over the fancy paint and was thrilled to hear the boisterous engines as they all lined up for the parade.

Here are a few of my favorite shots of the day.

FingerPrint Friday

There is a song by Steven Curtis Chapman that says:
I can see the fingerprints of God
When I look at youI can see the fingerprints of God
And I know its true
Youre a masterpiece
That all creation quietly applauds
And you're covered with the fingerprints of God

So look around you and see where YOU can see God's fingerprints. Is it in nature? Kids? Animals? Where do you see them?

Here's how to join in. 1. Blog with your interpretation of God's fingerprints. Be sure to link back to Pamperink Beki so others can find the entire list of participants!

You don't hear about my Alexander much. He is our quiet child. This little man is so filled with joy his eyes literally have a sparkle to them. He observes everything and quietly soaks in the world. He is sweet and compassionate and an amazing gift from God.

Meggie is famous!

This site is just too much fun! I found the link on Kristen of Gock's Frocks blog.

You can up load any photo into one of their options. Hmmmm I can't figure out why my pictures are so small.

Lookie We made the cover of Vogue!

Take a few minutes and check it out but be warned the dishes may go unwashed for the afternoon!

Meggie sings in church

Like most two year olds my little Meggie Just can't sit quietly for an hour in church. Way two much to expect. When she gets too loud I take her out so my hubby can stay and participate in the whole mass.
So last Saturday we attended a baptism. Right on cue a half hour into the service Meggie started being goofy so I walked out to the foyer with her. There was another little guy out there about her age. The other mom and I shared an empathetic smile.
Meggie spotted the other little guy and immediately put on the charm batting her eyes and shrugging her shoulder to give him a coy little smile (oh daddy we are in for it when she's a teenager!)
So these two flirted back and forth and communicated in two year old babble. When all of a sudden Meggie turns around sticks out her butt and while shaking her little booty sings clear as day "I like big butts!"
Okay, in my defence she has three older brothers who are at that age where the word butt is funny and they have seen the Shrek Karaoke a few too many time. You know you've all seen donkey sing that song!
Anyhow the other mom just gave me this look like what are they teaching her. I was sooo red! Meggie was just disappointed that the little boy left soon after her serenade. Oh well at least we were at another church instead of our own, or I'm sure the rumors would fly!
