Blissfest 2009!!!!

What a fun weekend!

Kristin and Dan Hubby and wife team and owners of Domestic Bliss just out did themselves! Friday Night's JDRF benefit event was a blast.

Eclectic cowgirls partied it up with live music, a fashion show, a silent auction, and lovely vendors with fantastic eye candy!

I'm sure I say this a couple times a month, but this is my new favorite piece! I was kind of sad to see it sell. I'll just have to make another for me :O) This one will be in my shop soon!

Something you don't see in my etsy shop! I love gem stones and natural rustic jewelry. I have many beaded gem stone necklaces that I sell locally and at shows.

Saturday's street fair was just as fun! So many wonderful people stopped in to day hello!

I was thrilled when I saw who my neighbors for the day were!

I LOVE fabric!!! I don't sew. I don't really like to sew clothing just not my thing, but I love fabric just the same! Heather's fabrics are so full of Life and Joy. I love her combination of colors and texture in her patterns.

I was super busy Saturday so I didn't really get much time to chat with her, but I did meet her hubby during set up the night before. What a sweet heart! He was so busy getting her gorgeous displays up and he still took the time to help Deb of Breathing beside us, fix her tent which broke as she was getting it up, and he helped me get my "not so EZ up" opened. Then he stayed up all night to finish setting up for his Honey. What a great hubby!

My Neighbor on the other side was the blogging lounge where Stephanie and Christian of the Nie Nie Dialogues greeted people all morning.

It was such a pleasure to meet Stephanie in person! She just radiates beauty! She was so modest, sweet, genuine, and down to earth. Stephanie is was such an honor!

A little excitement!

Hubby and I got away yesterday for out anniversary! It was so nice to put down the hammer and unplug the computer and just be together!

Last weekend I headed out to Mesa Arizona for Blissfest. It was a blast! I'll have a full post tomorrow with lots of pictures, including pictures from getting to meet Stephanie and Christian Nielson! Such an amazing couple!!

Eight years ago I walked into the church (on time) in my pretty white dress, to see you looking sooo handsome in your tux. The rest of the day was a big blur, but I remember in that moment when Father announced us as husband and wife, wondering how we could ever be any more in love than we were rigth then. 8 years have passed, Our family has grown (and grown), and our love deepens more each day.
I am so honored to have you as my partner, my lover, and my truest friend.

Tell us a bit about yourself
I'm Mary and I live in Tennessee. I moved here after living in New York for 24 years. I love baking, pattern making, and of course, sewing. I've been sewing for 35 years now, and I love challenging myself to come up with new designs and ideas everyday.

How did you get started crafting?
I started sewing in Home Economics class when I was 16, and haven't stopped since. After sewing dresses, costumes, and dolls for my daughters throughout their childhood, I began creating handbags.

What is your favorite material to work with?
I like working with any type of fabric, especially one with a bold and colorful print. I also like to work with metal rings in order to give my handbags a modern look.

What is a favorite Christmas Memory?
I don't have a particular favorite memory, I just love the overall feeling of Christmas. I especially loved the holidays when my children were young. Getting to see their bright faces opening presents around the tree is what I'll always remember.

Where do you sell?
