Happy Halloween!

Last weekend the kids and I pulled out the craft box, hot glue gun, and felt and made costumes!

They all knew exactly what they wanted to be this year

Megan wanted to be princess, Peach (from super Mario Brothers) She really didn't care what her costume looked like as long as it was pink and her crown was coated in gems

Alexander had his heart set on being Bowser from Super Mario Brothers...boy was that a challenge!
Thomas wanted to be a skeleton

Gabriel wanted to be Mario, from...you guessed it Super Mario Brothers, do we see a little theme?

Kaiya wanted to be a Pirate, and Nathaniel wore the giraffe costume. He was the 5th child to wear it, and none of them would wear the head part of the costume. He screamed just as loud as the others did when we tried.

Hope you all have a wonderful and safe Halloween!

The Queen Bee!

This little lady buzzed on into my mail box yesterday! I made her just special for the Queen Bee Market.
You're Coming right? She'd really love to meet you there, maybe even fly home with you!
She's very sweet.
I sketched her by hand and sent my drawing off to my tool maker who created a stamp for me, so I can share her with all of you.
This sweet little bee pendant is a good size, 7/8 in (about the size of a Quarter)
She couldn't call her self the Queen Bee with out her pretty little crown, and just because every Queen needs her pearls, a creamy fresh water pearl hangs next to her.
So has she enticed you to join us at the Market?
Plan that road trip with your best girls, and come on down to the Del Mar Hilton
Nov. 12th 4pm to 9pm
Nov. 13th 9am to 4pm
I'll be showing more sneak peeks of the goodies that will be there with me so keep checking back.
And for you ladies that can't come most of these will be available in my shop :)

Winner, and some newbies!

Chosen by random.org comment #6 from Bethany who said...

I am thankful we moved here. I really disliked it at first and had a hard time finding anything positive about being here. But now I'm in the middle of a surprise pregnancy and the OB practice I am going to is perfectly suited to my situation. I feel so blessed to be here and to have found this office. I don't think it's an accident-- I think we were led here. It has been a good reminder to try harder to find the good in everything, because it's there, we just have to find it! :)

Thanks for reminding us to be grateful. It can make such a difference in our lives!!
Bethany send me an e-mail so we can chat over details.

I can't tell you ladies how thankful I am for all your wonderful comments They really were a blessing last week! :)

I'm back on track this week, and I have to say I am very thankful for large amounts of caffeine.

I did fall very behind on my messages over the last couple of weeks, I've been working this week on catching up on e-mails and convos. almost done.

I was however able to keep orders heading out on time! YAY Some days it's the little things!

I have a few newbies that I am hoping to finish listing tonight...

I'm in love with this necklace!! It's for Sandi who is the amazing fabric designer behind Portabellopixie! It's whimsical, it's rustic, and it's GORGEOUS!

I made these gals to take to the Queen Bee Market on November 12 and 13. Did you mark your calendar so you can come shopping? You really really should!!

These pretties are part of my new artisan jewels line and they will be in my shops as well. As time allows I will have many more unique cuffs and bangles.

Let's have a giveaway!

It's official, I've been in a funk! I don't know what it is. Do you have those days?

We got some unexpected news last week that I'm still processing.

I've pretty much been on my own with the kids these last two weeks. Rob was only home for the kiddies bed time one day these last two weeks. (if you know a single mom, or dad give 'em a huge hug they need it!!)

I've had a cold for over 3 weeks that I can't get rid of.

And...

But rather than continue on with my pity part, and my list of poor me, I'm going to put on my big girl pants, and think of what I'm thankful for, and remember to let go.

Today I am thankful for...

~Cloudy rainy days, I LOVE the rain!
~Peppermint Hot cocoa. (I'm usually a caramel latte kinda gal but chocolate and mint seemed to be in order today)
~Hugs from my 2yr old. The kind where he just squeezes and nuzzles his head into my neck and sighs
~playing dress up with my 4yr old
~inventing silly stories with the boys and laughing
~listening to our oldest excitedly gush about the fact that she made it into the school play!
~being able to create jewelry to share with others.

And with that last one come this...

New to my line of ID bracelets the Because of you Bracelet !

It's fun a little funky, a little rustic, and oh so Chic!!
Completely hand made including the chain, it can be personalized with names or a quote, or maybe a Psalm or poem.
I can't think of a better way to end the pity party than to give one away!
So for a chance to win your very own leave me a comment and let me know something you are thankful for today.
For an extra chance
~Blog
~tweet
~leave a comment on facebook telling others.
~Become a follower of my blog (if you already are just let me know)
Be sure to leave a separate comment for each entry.
I'll choose a winner and announce it Sunday night.
Good Luck!

Brave Soul

If you've been stopping by for a while you know I have a thing for winged hearts.
I love them for so many reasons, and they symbolize so much for me.

This bracelet was sparked the other night as I listened to our 11year old gush on and on about her audition. Our oldest has always been a little on the reserved and shy side. Middle school has encouraged her to come out of her shell a little, and this year she has really begun to bloom.

She was so proud of the fact that she got up in front of her peers and teachers and auditioned for a part in the school play. She shared how scared she was, but she still stepped out on stage and went for it!

We're so proud of you sweetie!!

This bangle is perfect for any brave soul, or may as a reminder to let go of our fears step out and go for it! Couldn't we all use a little extra encouragement in life?

Clouds and Caramel

It's a drizzly gray Sunday here in CA and I'm LOVING it!
I got to snuggle up in my chunky yellow sweater and boots for Church today.

After Mass today I stopped in and got a yummy caramel latte, which I am enjoying sitting here in my cozy bed typing this blog post and updating my shop.
I spent a good part of last night getting to convos and adding in some new items to my etsy shop. Hopefully I can get more items up later tonight.

After I finish this post I am off to help my kiddies create Halloween costumes. Time to unearth the hot glue gun!

Have i ever told you that I Love rings? They are my favorite piece of jewelry to wear.
I can't get enough of my stacking rings! I can mix and match and change them up to fit my mood.

These gals will be listed tonight...

Hope you are enjoying a cozy Sunday!

Woodland Bliss

Saturday afternoon, all gussied up, my honey and I headed down to Carlsbad.

The drive down was relaxing (especially since Rob drove :) We had an hour to chat with no interruptions. Time to catch up, to make plans, share stories.

April, crafty momma that she is really out did her self.
Her home was beautiful, and the decorations were adorable! Gnome houses and toad stools, acorns and earthy Autumn hues adorned each table

She had a woodland theme and her home peppered with beautiful woodsy details.

(April introducing Mindy)

She hand painted river rocks with everyones names...there were over 80 people there!

After a yummy supper we were treated to the spunky sweet songs of Mindy Gledhill.

(Excuse my horrible photos they are all I have from the evening)

My sneaky hubby snapped this when I was off chatting with a few gals. I'm the one in turquoise.

Hope your weekend was wonderful!

A busy Saturday

I met sweet April at SPARK. She was one of the instructors. She's a lady of many talents. We discovered our hubbies grew up in the same town and went to the same high school at the same time, though graduated different years. Small World!

We both have a love for all things creative, we are both jewelry enthusiast, and we are both self taught silversmiths!

Some day when we have time we plan to get together and have a torch day.

Today I'm off to visit her lovely home for a benefit dinner and concert to help support a family who lost their husband/father this July.

I made these beauties last night for the auction...

Each one has my bench mark on the back.

But before I can run off to play tonight there is work to be done.
~I have about 20 orders I'm finishing up, then I need to package them so they can ship today.
~Head out to the post office to ship the international orders.
~I still need to do some house cleaning, cooking for the kiddies for tonight, Iron my dress for tonight (oh how i hate ironing!)
~Hope to get to all my convos from yesterday, and then get gussied up for the party. I can't remember the last time Rob and I went to a dinner party. It's been years!

What do you like to do when you get a night out with your Hubby?

He was thrilled to loose 2 teeth in a row, especially after the tooth fairy came to visit.

He thinks if he wiggles the other front tooth at least twice a day it's sure to fall out next.
Keep wiggling baby :)

Any fun plans this weekend?

Me, I'm dragging (almost literally) my honey down to Carlsbad to Enjoy a lovely evening at April's home for a benefit dinner, and concert with Mindy Gledhill!!!! Yippee!

HOPE

October is a month of hope.

Hope for peace for the ones we have lost.
Hope for courage for those who are fighting a battle for their lives.
Hope for strength for families to support the women they love
Hope for healing.
Hope for a cure.

Most all of us know someone who has fought cancer. Too many of us know someone who has gone to rest in the arms of our Lord.

This Month I will donate 10% of any sales made on my awareness designs to the Susan G Komen Foundation.

Hope!

Morning Peace

Almost every morning after the kids are dropped off safely at school, Nathaniel and I head over to one of our local parks and go for our morning walk.

I strap him on to my back in his "pack pack" and we head off into the quiet and peace.

I love this park, it's like a mini forest in the middle of our little town. It has huge Pines and Eucalyptus trees. Orange groves and flower gardens. Birds, and squirrels and rabbits. A lovely out door theater.

And solitude.

Together we soak in the beauty of the morning. Some days we sing silly songs together, and chat about the birds and leaves. Some days we just walk in silence, and wonder at Gods beauty.

It helps me to de-stress. To focus on the day ahead, and to start my day centered and peaceful.

How do you find peace in a hectic day?

happy Monday!

Coming soon!

I'll be a bit scarce this weekend. We're having 3 birthday parties here...oh my what did I get myself into?!! It'll all come together it always does, right? yes it will! Okay I'm convinced now ;)

So now I'm off to mop floors, and scrub the bathrooms, clean the patio, and cook and cook.

On Monday I'll be listing these pretty baubles...

New to my stacking ring line. Smooth little gem stones. I have several different types of stones, in lots and lots of colors! So you will see many more of these guys.
I love the way they pair with the little heart ring. The little heart is hand formed so each one I make will be completely unique!
I'm off to join Mr. clean in the kitchen. What are you up to this weekend?
