Day 7 of the 12 days of Christmas giveaway!!!!!!

ON THE SEVENTH DAY OF CHRISTMAS.......

day seven of the 12 days of Christmas giveaway ,

Meet Pam of Sew Gracious...

Tell us a bit about you and your Family:

I love to sew! I've been sewing in some fashion literally all of my life, since age 4; thanks to my sweet Granny. :) I have experience in many types of needlework: sewing, smocking, heirloom sewing, counted cross stitch, crewel, needlepoint . . . you get the idea. If it's done with a needle & thread, I have most likely done it. I even owned a counted cross stitch & custom framing shop along the way. After many years on eBay, I discovered Etsy in 2007! What a wonderful venue for handmade items. My Etsy shop www.sewgracious.etsy.com been a great direction for my business. I also use my blog http://sew-gracious.blogspot.com to inform customers of the newest items & sales as well as sharing an occasional recipe, giveaway and just some fun things along the way. I couldn't do it without the full support of my family. They are my first priority and I am blessed to have them in my corner.

What do you create and what inspires you?:
I make handbags and accessories {wristlet key fobs, mini wallets, clutch wallets, tissue covers, etc}. The majority of my items are available in my Etsy shop although I offer a separate line of monogrammed checkbook covers & key fobs exclusively on my website at www.sewgracious.com

Inspiration comes in many different forms. Sometimes it's just the serendipity of a stack of fabric on my work table. I may have stacked up fabrics to make room to work, but then I notice they go together beautifully. I've found some of my very best fabric combinations that way. I also look forward to new fabrics from all of the well-known designers.

Your Favorite Christmas Memory:
There are so many, I couldn't pick one thing. As a child I remember the Christmas I got my first record player. I was SO excited. I think I wore the grooves smooth on my first album - Alvin & the Chipmunks! I'm sure my parents had second thoughts about that gift after hearing those songs for the millionth time . . . before New Years Day.

As an adult, the best part about Christmas is remembering the ultimate Gift of the season and the blessings He brings. :-)

Thanks Pam!!!

ON THE SIXTH DAY OF CHRISTMAS.....Day 6 of the 12 days of Christmas giveaway

On the Sixth Day of Christmas....

Meet Jen of BareFoot Divas Designs....

Tell us a bit about you and your Family:

I am the baby in my family. Always spoiled and my older brother hated it! Funny thing was that he spoiled me too especially when he got older and could afford to buy things. My husband and I live in Arizona with our two little girls, Natalie who is 7 and Gabrielle who is 3. I work from my home to be able to stay home with my girls.

What do you create and what inspires you?:

I like to create just about anything. I enjoy sewing little girl’s outfits and making jewelry, but those are hobbies compared to what I really do. I design websites, graphics, logos, banners, business cards, hang tags, and eBay templates. I usually get inspired by pretty paper, birds, flowers, or an image of something, but just about anything can inspire me to make graphics… even clothing.

Your Favorite Christmas Memory:

My favorite Christmas memory was one year my brother and I woke up to a bunch of foot prints cut out of construction paper outside our bedroom doors that were leading a trail all over the house. It was fun following the trail to different rooms that ended at our presents from Santa. This was something my dad had planned for us which made Christmas so special that year.

Thanks Jen!!

The Sixth goodie for the grand prize is....

Your choice of one of the following… a custom designed Etsy banner, blog design, or eBay template!

Jen's work is fabulous!! She designs all of my ebay templates, she did my blog design, and my spring etsy banner! You will not be disappointed :o)

Today's daily prize is this beautiful copper necklace!
To win this necklace, simply leave a comment on this post. The winner will be chosen at random tomorrow at 4:00pm PST and announced tomorrow evening with the feature for day 7.

ON THE FIFTH DAY OF CHRISTMAS...Day 5 of the 12 days of Christmas Giveaway!

Congratulations to Jane (Frogs are made for little boys pockets) Who won the $20 gift certificate to my shop!

On the Fifth day of Christmas....

Meet Jayne of BunnyChic Boutique

Tell us a bit about you and your Family:

We live in Florida near Kennedy Space Center and the Beach. Our Home is over 100 years old and it has been a labor of love restoring it. For many years ~ we worked constantly on the restoration ~ now, we just spend a lot of time dreaming and planning our next "This Old House" Project. Our two Daughters grew up "in the blink of an eye" ~ so we have a tween and a teen. They are so precious to me and bring constant Joy ~ I LOVE them both to the Moon and back again!!

What is the story behind your website?

Bunny Chic Boutique is a combination of three of my favorite things...... Bunnies, Shabby Chic and Shopping. There are still tons of products that I'll be offering on my website ~ so I guess it's still a "work in progress". My Number One Best Seller has been the Plush Pillow Purses and the Animal Shaped Pillowcases. EveryBunny LOVES these Fabulous Products which are made by Milo and Gabby. I'm so "hoppy" to be able to offer them on my website.

My Favorite Christmas Memory:

When my Daughter was 3 1/2 ~ Santa brought her a Jeep and the look on her face that Christmas morning was priceless. She hopped right in and took off ~ swerving in and out between all the trees in our Yard. I was so terrified that she was going to crash into a tree ~ but she never did. Well, now she's 16 and when she drives off in a really BIG "Jeep" ~ I have that same terrified feeling but also a tightness in my chest and for some reason ~ my arm goes numb. AND I pray ALOT.........She's given me countless gray "hares" ......but she still has that look of sheer Joy when she's behind the wheel.

Thanks Jayne!!

The Fifth goodie for the grand Prize is......

Your choice of one of these adorable purses!!! Can you guess which is Jayne's Favorite? :o)

If you're dying to have one for yourself I still have a couple available in my shop ;o)

On the Fourth day of Christmas......Day Four of the 12 days GIVEAWAY!

Meet Kelly of Happyday Studio

Tell us a bit about you and your Family:

I am the youngest of five, three brothers and a sister. The next one up from me is fourteen years older, and my oldest brother has two daughters my own age! I was born on Thanksgiving, and my mother says she named me by watching the Mickey Mouse Club when she was pregnant with me (you know how they would pop up and say their names? One of them was Kelly) ;)I've now been married for five years to my great husband, and we have a three year old son who is just such a funny and amazing kid! I am a stay-at-home mom, and I love to paint and draw when I can find time. We live on an old Christmas tree farm in Townsend, MA with our cat named Slorg, and some really big goldfish.

What do you create and what inspires you?:

I create handpainted greeting cards and art. I am always asked why I don't make prints of my work (because it would be alot easier!), but I absolutely love making each card by hand! I love to see brushstrokes, and pencil lines, and the artist's hand in their work. I now work mainly with watercolor, pencil, and ink.. but I also like acrylics and colored pencil.I am inspired by my son's smile and laughter... toys... the mix of colors in a pile of laundry... nature... You name it! I love anything happy! :)

My Favorite Christmas Memory:

I don't know if this is my favorite memory of Christmas, but I'll never forget it! Last year was the first year my son would really understand Santa and waking up to presents on Christmas morning. I was so excited when Santa dropped off a child size kitchen set at our house *wink wink* and I decided I would set it up and have it ready for my son to see in the morning. I sent my husband to bed, put on "A Christmas Story" and opened the box. I wasn't prepared to see about 1000 or more pieces that had to be punched out, cut, screwed together.. It took me all night (I only cut myself once!) and I watched that movie four and a half times! I didn't even go to bed that night, but to see my son's face in the morning made it all worth it :) I can't wait to help Santa again this year! Hopefully he'll choose something with fewer parts ;)

Thanks Kelly!

The Fourth Goodie for the Grand Prize is....

A 5 pack of Kelly's amazing holiday cards!!!

Here are more examples of her work!! Be sure to visit her etsy shop!

She also does Whimsical Portraits, this is one she did for me of my 6 little munchkins!

Meet Jen of MudHutt.....

Jen is a ceramic artist. She makes the most adorable decorative dishes and ornaments.

Tell us a bit about you and your Family

My husband and I just celebrated our 14th wedding anniversary (today Oct 22)... my gosh, has it been 14 years??? We have 2 beautiful children, our son Casey is 12 and our daughter Callie is 10.

What do you create and what inspires you?

I'm a self taught ceramic artist. Ive loved art since as far back as I can recall. I remember in the 2nd grade I learned how to draw "snoopy" sleeping on top of his doghouse and I drew that on EVERYTHING. Drove my mom NUTS! Then in 8th grade I mastered how to freehand the Rolling Stones logo.. you know... the lips with the tongue? Yeah, I drew it on EVERYTHING. lol! My love for ceramics started as a child when my aunt & uncle had a ceramic shop. Who knew I would grow up and open my own little "Paint-your-own-pottery" studio so many years later. I owned my pottery studio for the past 8 years, but just recently sold it at the end of the summer because my online sales were growing so fast I couldn't keep up with it all. I am the owner/artist for Studio J Company. This is my "real job". My hand painted pieces are sold in retail storefront and online boutiques across the country. http://www.studiojcompany.com/ - Everyday life inspires me. A word, a song or maybe something I see out my studio window. It's so fun to start with a squishy piece of clay and end up with a little piece of art that brings happiness to someone's life.

Share A favorite Christmas Memory?

Well... back in 1995, I was pregnant with my first child who wasn't due until January 13th, but on Christmas Eve we had some very scary complications and I was admitted to the hospital. I spent the next 3 days there.... I was terrified, as was my whole family, but everyone was so great... our whole family came to the hospital and we celebrated the holiday there... all together... including a wonderful new baby boy!

Thanks Jen!!!
You should go and check out Jen's adorable etsy shop!!

Almost time now!!!!

Remember this pendant? Okay probably not but this was the first pendant that I completely hand fabricated and using a torch and jewelers grade solder added the hand made hearts. I'm quite proud of this piece and last night I finally had the chance to complete it by soldering the chain to the back side of the circle, and adding the findings.

Once I get it polished and take some better picture I will list in my etsy shop. This one is currently at home on my neck but I will recreate it.

Oh and remember these too?

They are finished and ready for their debut at La Maison Tinsel & Tattered..Bon Marche'
They will be up in my Etsy shop after Nov 15th.
