Help!!!!

It's been a crazy week!! Unexpected visitors, our van broke down, last minute meetings...and it goes on and on. What a week.

In the midst of trying to play catch up on orders we've been trying to plan two boy birthday parties, one today and one tomorrow.

In between trying to figure out transportation, party favors, game prizes, 2 cakes and food, I just this morning realized, WE DIDN'T PLAN ANY GAMES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

SO HERE IS WHAT I NEED HELP WITH...

I NEED TWO FAIRLY SIMPLE PARTY GAMES FOR 6 AND 7 YEAR OLD KIDDIES WITH ITEMS I CAN USE FROM THE HOUSE. I'm still with out my van so I can't run out to the store for anything.

LEAVE ME A COMMENT WITH YOUR IDEAS, I'LL PICK ONE COMMENT AT RANDOM TO WIN A PAIR OF EARRINGS.

THANK YOU!!!!!

You could do a scavenger hunt! I used to love doing those when I was younger. Pick items to hide for the kids to find, and with each one, leave a little rhyme or clues as to where the next item is hidden. You can have the end be a bunch of cookies or candy!

OUCH!! Sorry about your rough week:(
I have two boys myself and one of the games that kept them busy for awhile was "finger football". All you need is a piece of paper for each kid, tape,a measuring tape and markers. Have the boys make their "footballs" by coloring them to their own design then forming them into a triangle. With a measuring tape place tape down on a solid surface (kitchen floor, table) in increments of 5,10,15 etc... yards and have a starting point. The boys take turns seeing how far they can "kick" the ball and you can give prizes based on who has the longest kick, who has the coolest football, etc... really anything you can think of. Good luck with the parties and hope things get better for you soon:)))

If you have balloons at your party, you could always pair everyone up and have them stand back-to-back. Then put a balloon between their backs. The first pair to burst their balloon wins! If you didn't mind messing up your floors, you could also fill the balloon with glitter or tiny confetti before blowing them up. Then when they pop, its a spectacular mess!

pass the parcel ... wrap a small present with many sheets of paper - seat kids in a circle, play music... they pass the parcel...you stop the music whoever is holding the parcel unwraps 1 layer ... music resumes ... continue stopping & unwrapping, last person to remove last sheet of paper keeps the present

we also do relay races where they might have to get ready for school...pack a backpack, put on coat, backpack etc... then run to tag their next teammate who has to do the same thing

balloons... my mom used to stick candy & quarters in balloons and we had to pop them to get the prizes...

what about a good, old fashioned three legged race. I bet they would have a blast and I bet they have never done it!!

There is a game you can play with paper plates. If you are like me, you may have a few on hand!!

You use them as stepping stones and have two teams race by only stepping on the plates. You use one more plate than kids. Have the kids line up and each stand on a paper plate. Put the extra plate in front of the first child in line. He then steps from his plate to the one in front and the 2nd person moves to the first persons plate. When all the kids have moved forward there will be one plate left at the back of the line. The last boy in line hands it all the way up to the front of the line and then everyone moves forward again. It's fun to do as a race. Let me know if you have any questions!!

Good luck - Stacy
