Meet Tracy of Creme De La Gems!
Tell us a bit about yourself
Do I have to? LOL!
I am Tracy, a blessed mother of two sweet sons, Justin (17) and Aidan (6) and I am a step mother to our social college student, Taylor (19).
I grew up in Northern California and began dancing at the age of 7. My life was spent for the most part in a dance studio. Aside from dancing, I dabbled in photography, art, sewing and etched glass. At the age of 19, I moved down to Southern California to pursue a dancing career. I wanted to be a 'Fly Girl' on 'In Living Color." Remember that show? Oh, how fun would that have been? But God had other plans for me. I did not end up auditioning until a few years later (Enter: Disneyland - The Happiest Place On Earth).
When I was a young girl, I would tell my Father that when I grew up, I would marry an Opera singer. My dreams became reality when I married Dirk, a lyric baritone! Although he is as gifted as one might think as an Opera singer, he chose a different path and that is Musical Theater. Right now, he is playing 'Phantom' at a Southern California Dinner Theater. Dirk and I met at Disneyland, where else? :)
As far as my Jewelry, I began working with polymer clay just about 3 years ago (approx). My sister taught me the basics and the rest is history. Our Aunt Jana was a polymer clay artist, our Mother was a gifted sketch artist and seamstress and our Father was an Architect and sketch artist. Art is all in the genes.
We like spending our down time at Lego-land, Sea-World or the San Diego Wild Animal Park, or we go watch Daddy in his show. Since I am a swing in the show, I get to be on stage and have a good time too, that's always fun even though I can't sing a note (I lip sink "watermelon, watermelon," kwim?), lol! My favorite part is hearing Aidan's little giggle out in the audience.
What do you create and what inspires you?
I create polymer clay beads and pendants for children's boutique jewelry.
There is so much that inspires me, but because I have a demand for my colorful, whimsical creations and matches, I can't always create what I truly inspires me. I am very much inspired by gemstones, Thai silver and stamped artisan styles that are petite with a touch of romance. Who knows? Maybe one day I will create a line of jewelry incorporating those inspirations.
Share a favorite Christmas memory
Every Christmas was very special in our home. One special moment that I recall, is seeing Rudolph's Nose up high in the dark starry sky, when I was about 6 or 7 years old. Ask me if his nose was blinking?
I wish you Canela, and all of your readers a very special Christmas, and to remember The Birth of our Savior, Jesus Christ.
Thanks Tracy!!!
The eleventh goodie for the grand prize is this adorable necklace!!
Here are some of Tracy other fabulous designs! Each of her Polymer pieces are truly a Work of art! It is amazing the detail she can get on to such a tiny sculpture! Be sure to stop by her brand new website on Friday after Thanksgiving for a Black Friday sale!

day NINE of the 12 days of Christmas giveaway
Meet Me :o) LOL The last 4 items for the grand prize are all made by my two little hands.
So a bit about me for those that are new to my little blog...
I'm Canela, Hello! I have been married to my best friend Robert for 7 years! He is an amazing husband, and wonderful father. We have 6 children, Kaiya 10, Thomas 6 (who lost his first tooth today!), Gabriel 5, Alexander 3, Megan 2, and Nathaniel 6 months.
I LOVE making jewelry. I have been making jewelry since I was 13.
What do I create and what inspires me....
I started out making basic strung jewelry, but I was always fascinated with metal. I am thrilled to have reached one of my major goals of fusing and soldering silver; and I have been fully enjoying coming up with new designs.
Everything inspires me. Most of the time what I create depends on my mood, so my designs can range from very complex and elegant, to simple and modern, and even whimsical and eclectic.

Day 8 of the 12 days of Christmas giveaway!!!!!!
day eight of the 12 days of Christmas giveaway ,
Meet Gioncarla of Art of the Craft Studios...
Tell us a bit about you and your Family:
I am married to my best friend who is also a very artistic soul but works so hard at his day job so that I can stay home with the kids and I am so grateful for that! I am homeschooling 3 of my 4 children just for this year and am enjoying it! Next year if all goes as planned I will have all 4 of my kids in school! Not sure what I will do! LOL
What do you create and what inspires you?
I love making small things, for instance children's jewelry and the shadowbox pendants. Something about them tickle my inner child and remind me how I once thought anything was possible, like the existence of fairies! I remember being so sure that they were out there somewhere! Which in turn inspires other thoughts and feelings from childhood, that I also find in my own children now and we can connect that way too. So anything that I create seems to get my kids and I talking and connecting which just stimulates the creation process again and again.
Share A favorite Christmas Memory?
1985 I was 7 years old and we drove back to Michigan from California in 2 days! Once we got there we started on the whirlwind of visits to the tons of relatives there in the 3 days my dad had leave from the Army. My sister and I were so spoiled and fussed over on that trip it was great, being that we were the first in the family to leave the family unit there in Michigan, we felt like we were sorely missed. We had tons of presents and dinner at my grandmas was fit for a king! She got out the huge leaf and fit all 17 adults at the table and the kids table was just me, my sister and my cousin (we were the only kids back then). Looking back I think it was rather amazing to have presents stacked to the ceiling just for us 3 kids! We waited till midnight on Christmas eve and then opened presents till we passed out! LOL That night was so fun because we were all together and everyone was so happy there even was a silly video being made by my uncles doing fake infomercials trying to sell my Grandmas strange collection of things like her ceramic elephants and fiber optic fountains and crochet poodles. (She's a bit eccentric) I still laugh at that! Then the night was was topped off by My grandpa unveiling an exercise bike for my grandma that she didn’t have a clue he had gotten her and she was so surprised that she started to cry and then he cried and so we all cried! Packed to our necks with presents we drove back to Cali on the day after Christmas and cried all the way to Nebraska! LOL But looking back my sister and I still remember that as the best Christmas ever!
The Eighth Goodie for the grand prize is.....
This adorable shadow box necklace!
Gioncarla is a gal of many Hats! Checkout all of her fabulous designs in her etsy shop and on her Website.
Thanks again ladies!
Good luck to all!

Day 7 of the 12 days of Christmas giveaway!!!!!!
day seven of the 12 days of Christmas giveaway ,
Meet Pam of Sew Gracious...
Tell us a bit about you and your Family:
I love to sew! I've been sewing in some fashion literally all of my life, since age 4; thanks to my sweet Granny. :) I have experience in many types of needlework: sewing, smocking, heirloom sewing, counted cross stitch, crewel, needlepoint . . . you get the idea. If it's done with a needle & thread, I have most likely done it. I even owned a counted cross stitch & custom framing shop along the way. After many years on eBay, I discovered Etsy in 2007! What a wonderful venue for handmade items. My Etsy shop www.sewgracious.etsy.com been a great direction for my business. I also use my blog http://sew-gracious.blogspot.com to inform customers of the newest items & sales as well as sharing an occasional recipe, giveaway and just some fun things along the way. I couldn't do it without the full support of my family. They are my first priority and I am blessed to have them in my corner.
What do you create and what inspires you?:
I make handbags and accessories {wristlet key fobs, mini wallets, clutch wallets, tissue covers, etc}. The majority of my items are available in my Etsy shop although I offer a separate line of monogrammed checkbook covers & key fobs exclusively on my website at www.sewgracious.com
Inspiration comes in many different forms. Sometimes it's just the serendipity of a stack of fabric on my work table. I may have stacked up fabrics to make room to work, but then I notice they go together beautifully. I've found some of my very best fabric combinations that way. I also look forward to new fabrics from all of the well-known designers.
Your Favorite Christmas Memory:
There are so many, I couldn't pick one thing. As a child I remember the Christmas I got my first record player. I was SO excited. I think I wore the grooves smooth on my first album - Alvin & the Chipmunks! I'm sure my parents had second thoughts about that gift after hearing those songs for the millionth time . . . before New Years Day.
As an adult, the best part about Christmas is remembering the ultimate Gift of the season and the blessings He brings. :-)
Thanks Pam!!!
The Goodies for day Seven for the grand prize are....
Your choice of one of her fabulous key fobs &......
Your Choice of one of her gorgeous clutch wallets!!!!!!!!!
Pam also makes beautiful bags. Stop by her Etsy shop and check out all the Yummy fabrics and wonderful designs!
There's just something about pink and black! Love this one :o)
Thanks again ladies!
Good luck to all! Congratulations to rayraygirls who won the Bliss necklace! It is up in my shop now with some other fabulous new designs ;o)

ON THE SIXTH DAY OF CHRISTMAS.....Day 6 of the 12 days of Christmas giveaway
Meet Jen of BareFoot Divas Designs....
Tell us a bit about you and your Family:
I am the baby in my family. Always spoiled and my older brother hated it! Funny thing was that he spoiled me too especially when he got older and could afford to buy things. My husband and I live in Arizona with our two little girls, Natalie who is 7 and Gabrielle who is 3. I work from my home to be able to stay home with my girls.
What do you create and what inspires you?:
I like to create just about anything. I enjoy sewing little girl’s outfits and making jewelry, but those are hobbies compared to what I really do. I design websites, graphics, logos, banners, business cards, hang tags, and eBay templates. I usually get inspired by pretty paper, birds, flowers, or an image of something, but just about anything can inspire me to make graphics… even clothing.
Your Favorite Christmas Memory:
My favorite Christmas memory was one year my brother and I woke up to a bunch of foot prints cut out of construction paper outside our bedroom doors that were leading a trail all over the house. It was fun following the trail to different rooms that ended at our presents from Santa. This was something my dad had planned for us which made Christmas so special that year.
Thanks Jen!!
The Sixth goodie for the grand prize is....
Your choice of one of the following… a custom designed Etsy banner, blog design, or eBay template!
Jen's work is fabulous!! She designs all of my ebay templates, she did my blog design, and my spring etsy banner! You will not be disappointed :o)
To win this necklace, simply leave a comment on this post. The winner will be chosen at random tomorrow at 4:00pm PST and announced tomorrow evening with the feature for day 7.
Good luck!!!!!! Be sure to stop back by tomorrow for the Seventh Day of Christmas.
