Giveaway! :O)

I thought is would be fun to kick off my re opening week with a Valentines theme giveaway.

I love Valentines day, but not for the mushy romantic reasons. It's a fabulous excuse to be girly! To decorate the house in shades of pink and tons of hearts. I break out my box of glitters and make sparkly crafts with the kids. Eat Candy hearts and red hots, and hide love notes to them and to my hubby around the house so they have surprises to enjoy.

So here is my Valentine gift to someone...

Your choice of One of these necklaces. I couldn't make up my mind which I liked best so I will let the winner choose.

So to enter leave a comment telling if you love or hate Valentines Day and why.
I will choose a winner on Wednesday when my shop Opens again!
Blog about the giveaway so your friends can come enter too!
Good luck!

I love Valentine's Day now that I have a wonderful, romantic husband :) It wasn't my favorite holiday when I was single. Beautiful necklaces...can't wait for your store to reopen!

oh - i love the heart necklace! Just adorable!

And I love Valentine's Day b/c I get to make cupcakes with little bitty hearts on them. :) And I usually get flowers from my hubby!

I love valentines day, but my husband does not. He prefers 'Surprise Valentines Day', so he choses a day other than the 14th of February to celebrate with me. He loves the spontaneity of it all, and so do I.

I love Valentine's Day, if only for the candy hearts...yum! However, it is at the end of a month of celebrations - anniversary, birthday, and Valentine's Day, so it's sort of anti-climatic.

I love valentines day because it is the day I went to the hospital to have my wonderful son, who is now almost 3.

I love Valentine's Day. I go all out! I am a hopeless romantic, red is my favorite color and hearts are my favorite symbol-so Valentine's Day is right up my alley! That heart necklase is also right up my alley!

Love it or hate it huh? First I can say that I LOVE the two necklace choices for sure.

As for Valentines Day, never really been a big fan (and it's not because I don't have a special 'valentine' either :0)).

My belief is that LOVE should be spread to others each and everyday - not just one day out of the year that Hallmark decides it should be.

I personally believe that if I have special feelings for another person I should take every possible opportunity to share it with them immediately rather than waiting for that 'one special' day on the calendar when it says to do so.

I LOVE all the celebrating with pink, red, even purple. I LOVE the baking of special cupcakes and exchanging of special notes to one another...I just think these activities can be done any day/every day!!!

One of my favorite quotes about Valentine's Day is by Noah Sparks:

"Love is more than three words mumbled before bedtime. Love is sustained by action, a pattern of devotion in the things we do for each other every day."

How true it is!!

Have to be honest, not a big fan of Valentines day! I think the "love" needs to be given more often, not just one day of the year:)
More flowers, more candy, more jewelry, more hugs and more more more kisses!!! :):)
Of course I did grow up with a daddy that bought us candy the day AFTER Valentines because it was half price:):) Smart man!

I love Valentines Day simply because it's another day to appreciate and recognize those that you love. Everyone likes a little love! :-) Even the Grinch!

I neither love nor hate Valentine's Day, but at least its an excuse to eat a nice dinner!

I like Valentine's Day but I've never really decorated for it or anything.

I love Valentine day! <3
Maybe it's cause lately I've had a boyfriend, so I can't wait to spend it with someone I love..
But I have to sincerely say that I liked it also before! My father used to take me these little gifts saying that a cute girl couldn't remain without any on Valentine's day ^_^

I love all that Valentine's brings, candy, flowers, hearts, and hopefully jewelry. :)

I was always rather indifferent to Valentine's Day . . . until a few years ago, when my husband and I decided to start a tradition and escape for some Alone Time! Now we look forward to it, and plan all sorts of little romantic surprises to celebrate!

Thanks for the chance at winning one of your beautiful necklaces!!

I love Valentine's Day. My parents would have been married 53 years this year. It is a day for my mom and I to reminisce about my daddy, who passed away 27 years ago. It is bittersweet.
Ani I love Love Day (as named by my granddaughter) because there is lots of kisses and candy!

I just like Valentines Day. I wish my husband was a little more romantic on this particular day-- maybe now that we have a wee little one he might be a little more thoughtful. Keeping fingers crossed.

love the necklaces!!

Valentine's day is more fun with my hubby then it was in my pre-hubby days, but we don't really ever do anything different than any other day. so i guess it means that every day is valentine's day ;-)

I love Valentine's day! And this year is going to be very special because it'll be my little man's FIRST holiday. I'm going to make sure he knows that any special woman in his life needs to get some flowers and chocolates and lots of love!

Mel said...

I love Valentine's day! Not for chocolate and flowers,(which are nice but not necessary) but for the reminder of the best Valentine's gift my husband and I have given to each other. Our oldest daughter was due exactly 40 weeks after Feb 14th. LOL you can do the math.

I don't love or hate Valentines day. When I was younger it meant much more though I also got very disappointed because of such high expectation of what it should look like. I enjoy it though sometimes we don't celebrate it with a big splash.

Valentine's Day - I love it! It is the anniversary of the 1st date for my hubby and me (This year is #12!) I'm not big on the whole fancy, mushy aspect of the day. To me the important part is taking the time to be together and remembering why we chose to travel this journey through life together.

L said...

I love Valentine's Day because my sons are always so sugary sweet to me on that day and shower me with hugs and kisses. (even the 15yr old)

Leslie Richman said...

I used to hate Valentine's day! It's so mushy and weird...but now I have a honey and I love corny treats on Feb. 14!!!

JennaHabes said...

I used to really hate Valentine's Day until a boy I had a crush on surprised me with FOUR dozed roses! Best Valentine's Day ever! It literally changed my life. But now that I'm married, it's just like any other day.

Diane said...

I used to hate Valentines Day, but now I love it. It took me awhile to realize that it isn't a day to only celebrate "romantic" love, but rather an opportunity to tell everyone how much you care about and love them! Your necklaces are beautiful and I am thrilled to see what you will have in your shop.

I love Valentine's Day because it is a day when my family shows the love we have for one another in an outward sign. We have lots of pink and red filling our home in preparation!

My husband and I don't celebrate Valentine's Day because we could never get behind a forced romantic holiday.

But this year, we are excited to celebrate with our new daughter. We are starting a tradition of celebrating Valentine's Day as a way to teach about God's unconditional love. Happy Agape Valentine's Day! :o)

Well, it's easy to say that I do love Valentines because I know I have a date...my husband. Back in HS, I didn't always care for it, but now with my husband and 2 sons, I'm surrounded by Valentines!

Here in Brazil we don't celebrate Valentine's Day. But I think it is a great holiday and it is always fun to have a excuse to spread love ^^
And those necklaces are adorable!!!
Thanks.

I used to have Valentine's Day, mostly because I had terrible, terrible boyfriends who would blow it off LOL! But, since I met my DH, I've really enjoyed it. We keep it simple, but we always do something special :)

I've always loved Valentine's Day! This year will be the first year that I myself am involved in a romantic relationship on that day, but I've always enjoyed seeing how much people go out of their way to give to each other and to show each other how much they care; it's almost like Christmas. ^_^ So yes. I love it. And I will ravish the chance to show my Jaron how much he means to me.

I love Valentine's Day because of the kids' parties at school....it reminds me of my childhood. I had a friend in 1st grade that gave me a present I will never forget. A box filled with pennies, a Tootsie Roll pop and a cute valentine that said, "Will you be mine?" I know now that it was a true gift from his heart....as he *was* in 1st grade and it was likely all he had to give, but he gave it to me!

Christa said...

I'm fairly indifferent to Valentine's Day! We get in the hoopla more now with small kids, but as a couple not so much.
Those necklaces are gorgeous! I can see why you can't decide!

I LOOOOOOOOOVE Valentines Day...it's just a fun holiday. And I love that I have a husband who is wonderful at giving sweet, meaninful gifts. Two years ago, as my Valentine's gift he donated money to ten of my favorite charities. The way he presented it to me was very sweet and too long to explain but it meant so much :)

Valentines Day and I have a love/hate relationship. I love receiving and giving gifts and cards to the people I love. But, I feel bad for people who feel unloved...single people, or people who have lost their loved one.

I am not that stressed about Valentine's Day but I do quite like the feeling of answering the door to a delivery man with a single rose or lovely arrangement of flowers.
That happened quite a few times when I was a teenager but my husband doesn't express his love in that way and the only time I received flowers from him on Valentine's Day was when my Dad phoned to remind him!
Mum , on the otherhand, has to get the whole nine yards: flowers , a card, maybe a small present and definitely a meal out. If Dad forgets something he is in BIG trouble.
