Diet anyone?

Do you Diet? I've been thinking about diets alot lately. 6 pregnancies + sitting in a chair at my workbench for several hours a day + my LOVE of baking ++ consequently eating what I baked = too many inches on my rear (just keeping it real here)

I know I'm not alone in this, the 30's hit and suddenly it's harder to loose weight.

So I'd love to hear how you keep your waistline in check (even if it's just theoretical and you're munching on a gooey caramel brownie as you read this post) If you are I'm quite jealous.

I just can't bring myself to diet, I love food too much, I love cooking too much, and I married a carbaholique who would make dieting a torturous venture.

Instead I've adjusted what I'm eating.
~Like yesterday the kids wanted pizza, so I made a homemade Barbecue chicken apple pizza. It was REALLY yummy and waaay less fat and calories than pizza hut.
~I've started a morning hike/walk in one of our local parks, with 25+ pounds of Nathaniel strapped on to my back. He LOVES it and thinks it's hilarious when mama is out of breath walking up the steep hill.

So here's to hoping i can get back into those size 8 jeans soon, or gasp maybe even a 6 by new years!!

Oh does anyone out there want to come take a berry pie of my hands? Seriously I made a yummy pie and it's sitting on my kitchen counter taunting me...Anyone?!

I'll announce the winners of the photo contest tonight! I soooo wish I could have everyone win (but I would go broke) because the photos were so inventive, sweet, or just so stinkin' cute like this guy...

I can't thank you ladies enough for sharing your time and photos with me!!

xoxo

That's my little guy! :) I had to take a picture of him...he looked so left out! And his name (Noah) is on the necklace, so it was only fair. :)

As far as dieting goes...I am on weight watchers, and love it! I can't do diets that tell me what I can and can't have. With weight watchers, I can save up my points for a special treat once a week, which makes all the difference. I just started it since the birth of my little Noah 5 months ago, and I've lost almost 9 lbs!
PS - I also love baking, which is a downfall for sure! You can't bake something and not try it!

I am with you on the dieting. I just absolutely love food too much! But I am getting to the point where I need to do something. I think the key is just moderation!! I can't deprive myself of anything or else I will just crave it too much!

I'm excited to see everyone's pictures. I didn't send one in because I am just not creative!

Oh goodness girl.. My youngest just turned one and I was miserable with myself I was heavier than ever. I've done weight watchers a millon times and it works but it takes forever..I llove to cook soooo my only option was to find a way not to be hungry. I went to a place where they give you an appetite sup. and tell you how many calories you can have.....I have lost 15 lbs in about 3 weeks. I feel fine It took most of the struggle away. It's the best thing I have ever done...It is just tooo hard when you stay home w/ 3 kids. What ever you do Good Luck!!

I'm leaving my house now...I will be there in just over an hour to get the berry pie off your hands :)

You eat balanced and healthy already, keep it very simple and eat 1/2 to 3/4 of what you normally eat.

BTW, the photos are beautiful!!
